kilimanjaro adventure route LEMOSHO
- 6 Days Lemosho Route: Lemosho Route: The trekking passes through different climatic zones and starts in heathland and winds through alpine meadows to ascend to the arctic zone near Uhuru Peak. The descent, in turn, passes through the rainforest. All this makes the Lemosho route the most picturesque route on Kilimanjaro. Lemosho offers the mildest acclimatization and the success rate of 85%. The total distance covered on the Lemosho route is 46 km (28.5 miles).
- 7 Days Lemosho Route: Same as above but with one more day and better acclimatization. Higher success rates of 90%.
- 8 Days Lemosho Route: Same as above but with one more day and better acclimatization. Higher success rates of 95%.
kilimanjaro adventure ROUTE MACHAME
- 6 Days Machame Route: The Machame Route or (Whiskey Route) with a total length of 65km, is one of the most popular among Kilimanjaro climbers. We recommend the short 6-day program only to those with climbing experience, a reasonable level of fitness and a craving for a challenge. The main difficulty lies in an altitude increase of over 2000m (6600ft) in 24 hours including the summit, resulting in a 7% drop in success rates. If you plan to take the Machame Route in November, April or May, the path may be eroded by rain, making climbing difficult.
- 7 Days Machame Route: The 7-day program, on the other hand, offers 85% success rates due to gradual acclimatization and will be suitable for anyone aspiring to climb Kilimanjaro.
kilimanjaro adventure route MARANGU
- 5 Days Marangu Route:Marangu Route: 5 days Kilimanjaro Climbing: The Marangu (also called “Coca-Cola”) route is the most popular among Kilimanjaro climbers. It is unique because it offers extra comfort with its permanent shelters. The fabulous views of Kilimanjaro’s Mawenzi and Kibo peaks are an added advantage of the Coca-Cola route. The Marangu route offers 5- and 6-day itineraries, with the 5-day route being best for experienced hikers.
kilimanjaro adventure route RONGAI
- Rongai Route 6 days: The Rongai route is the only route to approach Kilimanjaro from the north, right on the Kenyan border. It will take you past Tanzania’s second highest point, Mawenzi, and offer you aerial views of the mountain’s rainforest. The gentle gradient and gradual acclimatization will take you safely to the highest point in Africa, Kilimanjaro’s Uhuru Peak at 5,895 m. The Rongai route boasts high success rates of 84 and 94 percent in 6- and 7-day ascents, respectively. Rongai is ideal for travelers with previous exposure to high altitudes and offers an escape from climbing companions as it requires the longest journey before reaching the park gate. The Rongai route will leave you with great impressions as you test your strength over a distance of 65 km (40 miles).
