SAFARI in MASAI MARA

One of the most famous national parks in Kenya in the world is the Masai Mara, ideal for a safari, Masai Mara is famous for its lion population and for being home to endangered species such as the black rhino. However, the real inhabitants of this park are the wildebeest, as in the Serengeti, as their numbers are estimated to be in the millions. All of the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, African elephant, African buffalo, and black rhino) live in the Masai Mara. Every year in July, these animals, like the zebras, migrate from the Serengeti plains in search of fresher pastures and return in October.

SAFARI IN AMBOSELI

Amboseli National Park is located in Kajiado County, Kenya. The park covers 39,206 hectares (392 km²) at the centre of an 8,000 km² ecosystem, which straddles the international border between Kenya and Tanzania. One of the world’s best wildlife viewing experiences, with 400 species of birds, including waterfowl, pelicans, and 47 types of birds of prey. Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most popular wildlife sanctuaries. It is situated close to the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain (5,896 m), whose snow-capped summit offers a splendid view on clear days. Amboseli National Park is often referred to as “Home of the Elephants”. Some of the largest herds of elephants are found here.

SAFARI in LAke NAKURU

Lake Nakuru National Park. Within its perimeter lies Lake Nakuru, known for its geological antiquity and alkalinity. The lake area is a refuge for migratory birds, particularly flamingos. When several million flamingos gather together they create the greatest spectacle on earth. The word Nakuru means “dusty” in Masai. The waters of the lake are very alkaline and are only inhabited by a few species of algae and zooplankton, in great abundance. We will also have the opportunity to visit a unique sanctuary that is home to a considerable number of endangered rhinos and Rothschild giraffes. Waterbucks and predators such as lion and leopard are common in the park. A wide variety of birds can also be seen in and around the lake.
